New Jersey American Water provides water service to most of Moorestown. Call 1-800-272-1325 to set up service. Some properties may have private wells. Sewer service is handled by the township.
Internet, TV & Phone
Xfinity (Comcast) and Verizon Fios are the primary providers. Both offer high-speed internet, cable TV, and phone bundles. Check availability at your specific address and schedule installation in advance.

Trash, Recycling & More
Trash Collection: Moorestown Township provides weekly trash pickup. Collection days vary by neighborhood. Standard trash cans should be placed at the curb by 6:00 AM on collection day.
Recycling: Single-stream recycling is collected every other week. Accepted materials include paper, cardboard, glass, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and steel containers. The township provides recycling bins to new residents.
Bulk Waste & Yard Waste: Bulk waste collection is available by appointment. Yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, brush) has seasonal collection schedules. Leaf pickup runs in the fall.
Hazardous Waste: Burlington County operates a household hazardous waste collection program with scheduled drop-off events throughout the year.

Driver's License, Vehicle Registration & Voter Registration
Driver's License: New Jersey requires you to update your driver's license address within 60 days of moving. Visit any NJ MVC agency. The nearest locations to Moorestown are in Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel. Bring your current license, proof of address (utility bill or lease), and your Social Security card.
Vehicle Registration: You must register your vehicle with the NJ MVC within 60 days of establishing residency. You will need your current out-of-state registration, title, proof of New Jersey insurance, and a completed application. Sales tax on the vehicle's value may apply if it was recently purchased.
Voter Registration: Register to vote in Burlington County online through the New Jersey Division of Elections website or by filling out a paper application at the Township Clerk's office. You must be registered at least 21 days before an election to vote. Moorestown's voting districts are well-organized, and polling places are conveniently located throughout the township.

School Enrollment
Moorestown Township Public Schools serve approximately 4,200 students across five elementary schools, William Allen Middle School, and Moorestown High School. The district is one of the top-ranked in Burlington County and New Jersey.
To enroll your child, contact the district's administrative office at 813 North Stanwick Road. You will need:
- Proof of residency (lease, deed, or property tax bill)
- Child's birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Previous school records (if applicable)
- Parent/guardian photo ID
For the 2026-27 school year, classes for the district's students began on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, with early dismissal, and the final day of school is scheduled for Thursday, June 17, 2027. If you are enrolling mid-year, contact the district office as soon as you have your proof of residency in hand.

Moorestown Library: Located at 111 West Second Street, the Moorestown Library is a true community hub. Get a library card with proof of address. The library offers books, digital media, meeting rooms, children's programs, adult education classes, and community events. It is one of the most active libraries in Burlington County.
